Haddon started smiling on Valentine's Day.
I have tried to get a good picture of him smiling but nothing too great yet.
These are some of the better ones.
Haddon loves his musical star on his activity mat as much as his big brother Hudson did when he was a baby.
Look at those cheeks!
Haddon still makes me think I must have the wrong baby! :) He is so good.
He is sleeping 6-8 hours at night and loves to snuggle. He is usually happy if you keep his diaper clean and his tummy fed. Now he is giving us these winning smiles and gooing all over the place "talking" to us.
We were driving the other day and Hudson looked over at Haddon and said "mommy this is my friend Haddon!" (so sweet) Is he your friend? "yes, he is my little friend."
It is so nice that Hudson already loves his brother. You think it must be a little disappointing to a two year old when he has waited and waited for this brother to arrive and then when he does come he really can't do much or play yet.

What a little cutie! I love his chubby cheeks. It is so great when they start to smile and respond. That was an amazing story about Hudson wandering off . . .I had kind of a similar situation with Ian just yesterday. I had the door of the house open while I was going in and out for some stuff. He went out the door when I wasn't looking and wandered off. I was terrified when I realized he wasn't in the house and went searching all over for him. After several minutes I ended up finding him in a corner of the garage playing with a hose. At least he hadn't gotten too far but we had 'a talk' as well! The Lord is so good to protect our curious children.
Those pictures are so adorable! Wish we could see him in person, but pictures do nicely for now :)
How sweet!! I just love little baby smiles! I enjoyed reading your stories about Hudson as well! Hope you are doing well! We miss you all!
Mara was a "good baby" too--like Haddon! She only fussed when she was tired or hungry, and once she was cared for, she quit fussing. . . My friends all talked about their babies crying inconsolably--and I felt spoiled! I'm due again in July and I can't help wondering if this is a "good baby" or a "fussy baby." :-)
What a crazy morning with Hudson wandering off!! I'm sooo thankful he is okay.
God is good to protect these little wandering curious ones. He is so friendly that if he met someone (good or bad) he would just ask "what is your name?"
