The Beavers

We made a great little discovery a few weeks ago less than 5 minute drive from our house. There are these hiking trails and right off the start of the trail is this beaver dam with at least 6 beavers in it. So our fall fun was to go watch the beavers make their dam. If you want to see the beavers in the pictures better just double click on the picture and enlarge it. These beavers are huge! (about the size of medium size dogs) I haven't been able to get a picture of them out of the water although we have seen them dragging trees into the water.

There are actually 3 beavers in this picture. One is on the bank.

This is just the other side of the bridge. Pretty!

Beaver watchers. Hudson has enjoyed it. Although I'm not sure he realizes how cool it is. To him seeing a dog go down the street may be just as cool. His mommy has sure enjoyed "hunting" down the beavers to see them closer.

We were waiting here for some beavers to come up the embankment. They popped their head up out of the water, saw us and thought otherwise.
